This past week Lt. Justin Schell and FF Shawn Anthony attended the PA State Fire Academy in Lewistown to complete the resident program "Engine Company Operations at Residential Fires".  The week long program concentrates on developing skills and knowledge of single engine company operations.  The program includes a review of structural fire behavior, fire ground safety, hose line advancement and attack procedures, SCBA systems and practice, organized fire attack, forcible entry, and ground ladder handling. Two days of live fire evolutions conclude the course.  Chief Shaun Teacher, Deputy Chief Bill Wright Jr, FF Bill Wright, and FF Brian Wright also attended the last two days to serve as adjunct instructors for the course.
