This evening, Chief Teacher met with Steve Dill of Dill's Fire & Safety Equipment Co., Inc, the local dealer for Smeal Fire Apparatus, to sign the contract to order the departments new apparatus.  After months of meetings with numerous fire apparatus manufactures, and looking at numerous trucks, the committee reported its findings and recommendations to the company at its monthly meeting.  Smeal got the approval of the body.  The apparatus will be a 105' quint apparatus and will be paid for by the $650,000.00 federal grant awarded to the department in April.  The truck is now on order, and delivery is expected sometime in the early months of 2011.
