24 Truck assisted South Greensburg last night on a house fire. The first alarm was activated last night just before midnight for an attic fire. The Truck arrived as the 2nd unit behind 32 Engine and went to work last the first due Truck Company.

Last evening at 7:58 PM, The Truck and Rescue Pumper were dispatched to Farmington Place in Hempfield Twp for a possible house fire. Captain 29 arrived and reported a working fire. Truck 24 arrived 1st due and the crew went to work.

Station 24 and the first alarm were activated for a reported house fire in the 400 block of Chestnut St in the Borough. Chief 24 Wright arrived on scene just over 2 minutes after dispatch and reported a working fire.

Crews arrived to a reported Natural Gas Leak on Mt Pleasant Street in the Borough. Gas was leaking from the riser of a meter set. Members contained the leak and secured area until Peoples Natural Gas arrived on site.

The Borough fire department as well as surrounding departments responded to a garage fire on the 400 block of Green Street this afternoon. The fire was reported by FF Todd Brant who spotted the fire on his way home from work as a Borough Police Officer.

Truck 24 was activated at 7:50 this morning to assist South Greensburg with an individual who fell approximately 16’ into an excavation. The truck was used as a high point and crew members assisted with the extrication.

The new year kicked into full gear as the Truck and/or Rescue Pumper responded to 9 incidents, including our first building fire of 2018 (pictures below assisting Hempfield #2), and 4 accidents, 1 of which had entrapment and multiple serious injuries (pictured-assisting the City).
