Truck 24 assisted the City today at the intersection of Highland Ave and Wood St. The Truck arrived first due and was assigned as the suppression Engine by command. The truck crew stretched a line and assisted with suppression.
At 3:53 Thursday afternoon, the alarm was activated for a reported house fire on the 500 block of Alexander Street. Borough Police Sgt Brant quickly arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the windows of a house in the alley off of Foster St.

Truck 24 was special called last night to the Old Dollar General in Jeannette for a commercial structure fire in the 3 story building. Truck 24 operated in the rear alley of the building for over 6 hours.

At 12:43 AM units were dispatched to the 400 Block of Alexander Street in the Borough for a reported attic fire. Chief 24 arrived less than a minute after dispatch and reported fire showing from the attic windows on 2 sides of a multiple unit dwelling.
At 1:18 this afternoon the Department was dispatched to the Route 30 westbound off ramp to Route in the Borough for a tractor trailer overturned with entrapment. The Rescue Pumper arrived first due and found a tractor trailer hauling coal on its side.

Shortly after midnight this morning the first alarm was sent for a fire in the wall at a multi family residence on Foster Street in the Borough. The Chief and Truck arrived first due with nothing showing.
At 8:46 this evening the Truck and the Rescue Pumper was dispatched to Grove Street Extension in Hempfield Township to assist Carbon (Station 23) for a house fire. Crews located the fire in the kitchen area of the house.

This morning we where dispatched to the alley behind the 600 block of S. Main Street in the Borough for a vehicle fire. The Rescue Pumper arrived to a working fire in the passenger compartment of an Escalade.

While members of our department and our surrounding departments where at the funeral service in Ligonier Saturday morning, we where activated for a porch fire on the 400 block of Welty Street. FF Teacher arrived on scene within seconds of dispatch and reported a working fire.

Rescue Pumper 24 and Rescue 32 (South Greensburg) responded to the 700 block of S. Main Street in the Borough this evening for a vehicle accident with injuries. A vehicle hit an utility pole cracking it in half.
The Truck and Rescue Pumper assisted on a reported porch fire on Broad Street in South Greensburg. Chief 32 (South Greensburg) arrived and reported a working house fire. The Truck arrived and went to work as the first due truck company.

At 2:47 this afternoon the Rescue Pumper was dispatched to Route 119 for a vehicle accident with injuries assisting Station 32 (South Greensburg). Crews arriving reported the vehicle pinned against the jersey barrier and a patient with a neck injury.

The first alarm was activated for the 500 block of Cribbs Street at 6:14 this evening for a reported house fire. Truck 24 arrived first due and reported smoke showing from the front of the building. Chief Wright arrived behind the truck and established command.

It was a busy Thanksgiving morning for the Department. Members started this morning helping with helping with traffic control with the Thanksgiving Day tradition "Turkey Trot" that travels a route through the Borough and the City of Greensburg.

Units where dispatched at 2:48 this morning for a vehicle fire in the alley of the 600 block of S. Main Street. The chief and the Rescue Pumper arrived at the same time to find a pick up truck 100% involved in fire in the engine and passenger compartments.
